Frequently Asked Questions

Who can rent from LeAlora?

LeAlora provides furnished apartments and homes for companies and individuals who need a comfortable, temporary place to stay in the Muskogee area. Our guests typically need temporary housing because they are in Muskogee for a work assignment, relocating to the area, or dealing with an unexpected situation such as an insurance claim following a fire or other loss.

Our furnished rentals are designed for extended stays and are not intended for local residents looking for traditional housing.

As part of our rental process, we verify the circumstances of the stay and require security screening for all occupants.

How does the rental process work?

Start by contacting LeAlora to let us know what type of furnished housing you are looking for and your desired dates. We will let you know what is currently available or what may be available for your stay. Because apartments are rented daily, availability must be verified once you select an apartment.

Once available housing is identified, all adult occupants are required to complete a security screening. The screening fee is $60 per applicant. If the screening is approved and you proceed with the rental, the screening fee is credited toward your first month's rent. If the screening is not approved, the screening fee is nonrefundable.

After approval, a move in date is selected and a lease is prepared for signing. Once the lease is signed, the first 30 days of rent are due. Please note that LeAlora requires a minimum of (4) days to prepare apartments for move-in once the housing agreement has been signed.

Where are the apartments located?

All apartments are located in Muskogee, Oklahoma, in professionally managed apartment communities.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes. All LeAlora apartments are fully furnished for extended stays. A complete list of furnishings, kitchen amenities and other items provided in apartments are available [here].

What is included in the monthly rent?

Monthly rent includes all utilities and Internet service.

How long can I stay?

LeAlora requires a minimum stay of one month for homes and two months for apartments. Longer stays are welcome, subject to availability.

How does move-in work?

Once your lease is signed and payment has been received, a move-in date and time will be scheduled. For apartments, a LeAlora representative will meet you at the apartment, provide the keys, and give you an opportunity to inspect the apartment and note any discrepancies. Homes are equipped with electronic locks, allowing you to check in at your convenience. You will also have an opportunity to inspect the home and report any discrepancies.

How do I pay for my stay?

Rent is normally paid through Apartments.com. Payments made from a checking account are free. Apartments.com charges a processing fee for credit or debit card payments. The first 30 days of rent are due when the lease is signed and must be paid before move-in. For stays longer than 30 days, subsequent rent payments are due monthly in advance.

Can a company lease housing for employees?

Yes. Companies are welcome to lease an apartment and pay for an employee's or contractor's stay. All employees or contractors staying in the apartment are required to complete the security screening. Once approved, the company may rotate employees in and out of the apartment as its work needs change throughout the rental period.

Can a company pay by check?

Yes. Company payments by check may be accepted by prior arrangement.

What if I need to extend my stay?

All extensions are subject to availability. Please let us know as early as possible if you would like to extend your stay. We generally require at least 30 days' notice for an extension, although less notice may be possible depending on the apartment's availability.

Can I cancel after signing the lease?

Once the lease is signed, the rental commitment is binding under the terms of the lease.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Pets are allowed in apartments ONLY, subject to the pet policies of the apartment community. A nonrefundable pet fee is required. The pet fee does not cover damage caused by pets. Any damage caused by a pet will be the responsibility of the renter.

What happens when I check out?

A LeAlora representative will meet you at the apartment at an agreed-upon time to collect the keys and inspect the apartment for damage. LeAlora will arrange for cleaning after you leave.
